FEATURED | NATASHA MANN
There is a sense of underlying calm and tenderness to Natasha Mann’s portraiture of young women. The 22 year old who recently graduated from university, implicitly frames the dynamic personalities of her subjects - both friends and models alike - in common spaces. “The main reason for photographing girls is for the different qualities each girl brings to the photograph, whether they are agency girls or not. They each create a different look of youth. I very much prefer the awkwardness of the girl than a high fashion posed shot. Being yourself is the best!” Natasha explains. Natasha regards photographers, artists and friends her age as some of her main influences in pursuing her work as a photographer. “It’s a great buzz seeing how other great creatives your age work and the kinds of work they produce.”
